The Centre for Media and Dialogue Initiative (CMDI) has launched a comprehensive Mentorship and leadership programme for young people and targeted groups in Nigeria, Africa and across the globe.

The Center for Media and Dialogue Initiative is an organization registered in Nigeria with a passion for the areas of media and leadership development. We help amplify the voices of people and constructively engage them through periodic enlightenment campaigns, workshops, seminars, and conferences. Our Youth Mentorship and Leadership Program is a unique, well-designed contribution to socially and economically empower the youth between the ages of 15 and 35, to contribute meaningfully to society’s development. The program aims to improve economic outcomes, community belonging, and leadership skills. Other areas of interest include Legislative Advocacy, Community Enlightenment, Political Dialogue and Gender mainstreaming, Career choices, and exchange programmes for students among others.

CMDI engages groups and individuals in focused areas of development and capacity building in society. Our student mentorship program focusing on Senior Secondary School Students involves discussions on career choices, the role of parents in influencing the choice of career for their children and the specific role they play in maintaining stable homes which translate into the attitudes of children in schools and the larger society.

We engage schools in cultism, which is gradually becoming a menace even in primary and Secondary schools in Nigeria in particular.

Our leadership programs aim to engage young people on the need to participate in political activities leading to representation in parliaments and different levels of governance as one of the steps to taking over governance in Nigeria and Africa.

Our mentorship and training programs are packaged in ways to make it easy for people to participate and/or partner with. We have online training and mentoring, we have physical meetings, conferences and workshops. We visit schools to engage students directly, set up a mentorship program with students as participants, and train mentors who engage with the mentees.

We engage in aggressive gender mainstreaming to ensure the full involvement of women in major areas of governance including election into the parliament and appointment into executive positions.
